Development release. The notes below record changes at this version; consult current help for today’s availability and limitations.
Added
K-weighted, gated integrated loudness; momentary/short-term maxima; gated loudness range; 4× FIR true-peak estimates for source and rendered output.
Shared streaming metering for AudioWorklet and offline analysis, including known channel-mask weights and LFE exclusion.
Live M/S loudness, true-peak hold, stereo correlation, loudness history, channel-power spectrum and mid/side stereo scope. Phase 3 gain-reduction readouts remain.
Fourteen metering tests covering published filter coefficients, synthetic ITU/EBU calibration, gating, window timing, LRA, inter-sample peaks, channel weights, cancellation and invalid inputs.
WordPress upload instructions and plugin readme in the installable ZIP; all runtime assets included.
Changed
LUFS is computed independently of RMS. Silence, short windows and unsupported loudness layouts have explicit results; LRA below 60 seconds is marked provisional.
Rendered metrics are invalidated when settings change. Rendered playback can also feed live meters without processing the rendered buffer a second time.
Script boot supports delayed loading and guards against duplicate initialization. Worklet URL comes from the shortcode so combining the app script does not change its location.
Fixed
True-peak analysis flushes the FIR tail, including peaks reconstructed after the last source sample.
Momentary/short-term maxima are tracked between display ticks, preventing missed shifted transient windows.
Stereo spectrum averages channel power to avoid cancellation when channels are opposite in phase.
Security
No new third-party runtime dependencies, external services, endpoints, uploads or server DSP.
Package includes only runtime assets and documentation; test harness/developer scripts are excluded.
Known issues
No completed full ITU/EBU conformance suite or independent certification. True peak remains an interpolation estimate; Limit is still a sample-peak development processor.
Unknown/unsupported channel layouts and unusual rates cannot report LUFS. Short-programme LRA may be misleading and is flagged.
Whole-track output readings precede PCM quantization. Live readings include the audition history and use the device rate.
Real WordPress theme/plugin combinations, Safari/Firefox, listening quality and low-memory limits still need site-specific acceptance checks. Browser integration uses the real view with a WordPress API stub.
