Before you start: open the current VOID studio in a modern browser. These instructions describe the development release and use locally generated demonstration audio in screenshots.

What an account saves
A VOID account stores your profile and private mastering settings. A project includes its title, processing chain, quality options and minimal source descriptors. The audio remains on your device. The source fingerprint is an identity check, not an audio backup.
01 / Save your first project
Create an account, verify the email and sign in. You can sign in in a separate tab while leaving the studio open, then use Reconnect account in the studio. Import a WAV, choose a project name and select Save settings. Wait for the server-confirmed saved message.
02 / Reopen and reselect
Open a project from the dashboard. Reselect the original WAV so VOID can check its fingerprint and restore the session settings. If the file differs, reselect the original or deliberately start a new project. Renaming a file does not change its bytes; editing or re-exporting it does.
03 / Make checkpoints
Save the project before creating a named version. Versions preserve a checkpoint; restoring one changes the local chain until you save again. A preset stores reusable processing settings without binding them to a source track.
Use Rename, Duplicate, Move to trash and Restore in your workspace to organize projects. If another tab changes a project, VOID reports a conflict instead of silently overwriting it. Save a copy to preserve your local edit. Local recovery is temporary and separate from a confirmed server save.
